Alison Mantel received her undergraduate degree from the University of Michigan in 2011 during which she was an All-American water polo player. After graduating, she played professional water polo in Pamplona, Spain and coached age group and high school water polo and swimming in Orlando, Florida. Her passion for sports and coaching led her to pursue her Doctorate in Physical Therapy (DPT) from the University of Central Florida where she graduated in 2017. She also recently completed an orthopedic and sports residency with Brooks Rehabilitation/UNF in 2018 and 2019, respectively.
In 2019, Alison became board certified in orthopedics physical therapy. This certification is prestigious and recognizes clinical excellence via advanced knowledge, experience, and skills in orthopedics.
Alison enjoys working with athletes of all ages, helping them return to sport pain free. During her time in the Brooks sports residency, she took an interest in endurance athletes where she became certified in bike fitting for cyclists, triathletes, and mountain bikers.
Outside of the clinic, you can find Alison on the pool deck coaching the only age group water polo team in Jacksonville. In her free time, you can find Alison and her husband outside on their bikes or on the trail, working out in their local gym, or enjoying the dog park with their two dogs, Leeloo and Remus.
