David graduated in 1996 from Florida State University with a degree in Biology and went on to pursue his Master of Physical Therapy (MPT) from the University of Saint Augustine, graduating Cum Laude in 1999. He became a board certified orthopedic physical therapy specialist in 2008 and renewed in 2018. In 2009 David founded STARS Rehab.
Melanie brings over 20 years of clinical experience to her patients at STARS and specializes in treating people with Parkinson's disease (PD) and Parkinson's related conditions. She is LSVT BIG and PWR! certified, two well known targeted therapy programs for people with PD. Harley, STARS facility dog, works along side her bringing joy and fun to each therapy session!
Andrew Schreiner earned his Doctoral degree in Physical Therapy (DPT) from the University of North Florida in 2015. Active in the health and fitness community since 2007, he earned his Bachelor's degree in Health Sciences with a focus on exercise physiology in 2011.
Laura attended Wake Forest University for her undergraduate degree in Health and Exercises Science. She graduated from The University of St. Augustine for Health Sciences with her Doctor of Physical Therapy degree in 2013. In 2015, she completed a Manual Therapy Certification (MTC), and in 2016 she became a Certified Lymphedema Therapy Specialist (CLS).
Paige attended the University of North Florida for her undergraduate degree in Exercises Science. She graduated from The University of St. Augustine for Health Sciences with her Doctor of Physical Therapy degree in 2013. She then went on to complete a Manual Therapy Certification in 2015 (MTC). Paige is also a Certified Lymphedema Therapy Specialist (CLT), she attended the Norton School for Lymphatics in 2015. Paige can fit patients with lymphedema garments and compression ware, and is passionate about rehabilitating the breast cancer survivor.
Debra Mullin has over 20 years of experience as a Speech and Language therapist and has worked in all settings from outpatient to hospital to home care. She specializes in disorders of swallowing, a common impairment that can occur in Parkinson’s and related diseases. She utilizes both LSVT LOUD (for low volume speech) and VitalStim (external electrical stimulation therapy for swallowing) therapies, two evidenced based treatment approaches, for people with PD.
Paul is a New Orleans native who graduated from Louisiana State University in 2009 with a B.S. in psychology. He attended physical therapy school at the University of St. Augustine for Health Sciences from which he graduated with his Doctor of Physical Therapy degree in 2013. Paul specializes in the treatment of people with Parkinson's disease and is a certified Parkinson's Wellness and Recovery Trained therapist.
Thomas Olesko received his undergraduate and doctoral degree in PT at Ithaca college in 2017. After graduation Thomas completed a one year orthopedic residency at the university of Rochester. More specifically, specializing in mobilization and manipulation techniques of the spine and extremities. Thomas is board certified as an orthopedic clinical specialist and is currently participating in a manual orthopedic fellowship at the University of St. Augustine.
Hyacinth brings 4 years of clinical experience to her patients at STARS Rehab. She graduated in 2014 from University of Wisconsin-Madison with her Doctorate of Physical Therapy degree. In 2018 she became a board-certified Orthopedic Clinical Specialist, which is a 10 year nationally recognized certification by the American Physical Therapy Association.
Brianna graduated with her Doctor of Physical Therapy degree from the University of St Augustine in 2016, Clinically she enjoys treating patients with orthopedic injuries and rehabilitating patients after surgery.
Lisa Comella is a graduate of the University of Mount Union in Ohio where she received a BS in exercise science, followed by a Doctorate of Physical Therapy from the University of St. Augustine for Health Sciences in 2015. She is a manual therapy certified (MTC) Physical Therapist with clinical experience treating a wide range of orthopedic diagnoses, including necks, backs and extremities.
Anna Juzwiak received her Doctor of Physical Therapy degree from Marymount University in 2016. She also earned a Bachelor’s degree in Exercise Science from George Mason University in 2011. She is certified in treating patients with Parkinson’s disease through LSVT BIG and Parkinson's Wellness and Recovery Program (PWR!)
Sarah Braddock studied to become a Doctor of Physical Therapy at the University of South Florida, completing her degree in 2015. In 2011 she earned her Bachelor’s degree in Health Sciences from the University of North Florida, with a focus in exercise science, and became an ACSM Certified Exercise Physiologist.
Nathan received his Doctor of Physical Therapy degree from the University of Saint Augustine in 2017 and his Manual Therapy Certification in 2018. He earned his Bachelor’s degree in Exercise Science from the University of South Carolina in 2014.
Tayler Adams graduated from Valdosta State University in 2015 with her Bachelor of Science degree in Psychology and her Doctor of Physical Therapy degree from the University of St. Augustine in 2018. She specializes in orthopedics and vestibular disorders.
