Austin earned his undergraduate degree in Health and Exercise Science with a minor in Psychology from Wake Forest University in 2013. He went on to receive his Doctorate in Physical Therapy from Nova Southeastern University (NSU) in Fort Lauderdale in 2017. He is an Orthopedic Clinical Specialist (OCS), a board certification that recognizes advanced clinical knowledge and evidence-based practice.
He has completed additional training in vestibular rehabilitation, manual therapy, and applied Kinesio Taping with RockTape.
Austin has worked with a wide range of patient populations including professional and semi-professional athletes, older adults, patients recovering from joint replacement surgery, cardiovascular and neuromuscular conditions, and youth sports injuries. He especially enjoys helping patients achieve higher levels of physical function to reach meaningful personal goals.
Originally from the Midwest, Austin moved to St. Augustine in 2021. Outside of work, he enjoys exercising, traveling, cheering on Chicago sports teams, and spending time with his wife and their two children, River and Lilah.
