Austin attended Wake Forest University in North Carolina graduating in 2013 with his degree in Health and Exercise Science with a minor in Psychology. He achieved his Doctorate in Physical Therapy from Nova Southeastern University (NSU) in Fort Lauderdale in 2017. Austin is a Certified Strength and Conditioning Specialist (CSCS) through the National Strength and Conditioning Association and additionally has taken courses in applied Kinesio Taping with RockTape.
Austin is also an orthopedic board-certified physical therapist (OCS), recognized as a merit of excellence in knowledge and evidenced-based practice.
Austin's professional experience includes patients and trainees of diverse conditions and backgrounds such as professional and semi-professional athletes, geriatrics, cardiovascular and neuromuscular rehab, joint replacement surgery, and youth injuries. Austin's favorite aspect of being a physical therapist is helping patients achieve higher physical capacities to reach their emotional goals. Austin moved to St. Augustine in 2021 and enjoys spending time with his wife, exercising, traveling to new destinations, and is an avid Chicago sports fan.
